Vaccine: A product that encourages a person's immune system to produce immunity to a specific disease, therefore protecting them from it. Vaccines are typically given by needle injection, although they can also be given by mouth or sprayed into the nose. Many processes are involved in bringing a new vaccine to the public, including vaccine development, clinical trials, FDA authorization or approval, production, and distribution. COVID-19 vaccinations have been developed and distributed quickly to aid in the fight against the pandemic. All precautions have been made to ensure their safety and effectiveness during this process.
