Biography:

Luis Villarreal is a research professor at the Faculty of Engineering Sciences and Technology, Autonomous University of Baja California, Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. So far, Dr. Villarreal has published 42 indexed articles, with a total of 612 citations in Scopus. He has participated in more than 55 national and international congresses. Founder and editor-in-chief of the Revista de Ciencias Tecnológicas (RECIT), member of the editorial board of important publishers such as Bentham, MDPI, and Hindawi and referee of 157 articles. Evaluator of research projects in Mexico, Italy, Malaysia and Peru. His research lines are Biomaterials, Tissue Engineering, Drug-Release Systems and Biotechnology.
