Pierfrancesco Morganti, Academic Member of Directory Board & Scientific Counselor of Academy of History of Health Care Art and R&D Director of ISCD, Nanoscience Center Rome, Italy; Visiting professor from 2008- of China Medical University, Shenyang, China; from 2000 to 2018 formerly prof of Skin Pharmacology and Applied Cosmetology, Department of Experimental Medicine Campania University, "Luigi. Vanvitelli" Naples, It, has industrial experience has been from 1980 to 2018 CEO and R&D Manager of the Company MAVI sud Srl(production and distribution of Clinically Correct Cosmetics), Aprilia (Lt), Italy. He received his doctoral degree from the University of Rome Sapienza, Italy, with a maximum vote0, successively being in the years Temporary professor of Applied Cosmetic Dermatology and Skin Pharmacology in the University of L'Aquila, Milan, Pavia and Rome, chairing numerous scientific seminars, and sessions as invited lecturer in universities and international meetings in Europe, Russia, Asia Pacific, North and South Americas, as a recognized expert of Cosmetic Dermatology. His current research interest is focused on the development of biomaterials based on the use of chitin nano-fibrils, bio-lignin and other biopolymers obtained from agricultural and industrial waste by a nanotechnological biomimetic approach. Author of over 450 scientific publications, journals and magazines, including, conferences, proceedings book chapters, authored books, edited books and patents relevant to cosmetic dermatology, bionanomaterials and the environment, he is a reviewer of many scientific journals, fellow of the Italian Society of Pharmacology, European Academy of Dermatology, American Academy of Dermatology, Italian Society of Chemistry and Cosmetic Sciences and Co-founding and Secretary General of the International Society of Cosmetic Dermatology. Founder of the Journal of Applied Cosmetology and Editor in Chief for many years, he was a component of the R&D Commission of Federchimica ( Italian Federation of Chemical Industries), and became an effective member of the Italian Academy of History of Health Care Art since the year 2000.
